Yasha was born in 2003 in Burljaev's family. He rushed into this world and the delivery was premature. The boy weighed 2820 and was 50 cm high. As a prematurely born child he was placed in the oxygen camera. Doctors always know better. But nobody warned the parents about the sequences - oxygen often causes retinal detachment. If Yasha had been timely examined by an ophthalmologist in the eye centre, as it is normally recommended to such kids, the tragedy would not have happened. It was only when Yasha was 4 months old that his parents had finally pressed the doctors for the eyes examination. The verdict was shocking:” Your child is blind. Сomplete retinal detachment. Do not seek for any help, nobody can help you now. And keep in mind that your child is growing but his eyes are not. After some time his eyes will atrophy completely.” One cannot imagine what we felt after those words. What to do? Many people would give up. But I am trying to get the vision back to my child.
Yasha's parents did not blame anyone. They found those who helped them. Seven complex operations in Saint-Petersburg are behind. As well as three visits to Ufa to rehabilitation medical centre and one to Eye Surgery Center to doctor Ernst Muldashev. As a result Yasha's eyes are alive and the boy discerns bright and contrasting objects. We are fighting for hundredths of diopters. Yasha has poor objective eyesight. +15 lens is prescribed for the left eye. Yahsa's visual acuity is 0.07! Someone might say it is very little, but for the child diagnosed as «blind» it is a chance to see, to know the colour of the sky and the beauty of the world! Moreover, Yasha's achievement is a hope for other kids who suffered doctors' negligence. These kids are numerous. It is only due to the common help that we could twice visit Ufa in 2008. When we go to Saint - Petersburg we shall know the result of the latest complicated surgery of the right eye. After the surgery and a thorough checkup carried out under anesthetic we found out that we needed to consult Diskalenko on the left eye as well. This consultation and surgery will hardly be the last, but this is still another step to child’s vision. The visits to Ufa and Saint-Petersburg will require about five thousand Euros. The parents will be thankful for any minor donation. Words from the parents: We always want and try to thank those who help us in our need in word and deed. Unfortunately, we do not always have a chance to say the words of our gratitude. It is far more difficult to measure our gratitude in any spiritual equivalent. Please, let us tender our thanks and help you to fulfill your dreams at www.7sky.eu. Visit our forum there to read more on all our trips. I thank everyone who thinks of us and helps us!
